Marrakech Wellness Escape — Private 4-Day Hammam & Riad Retreat
Tour Overview
A private four-day wellness retreat built around what Marrakech does better than almost anywhere — the hammam, the riad, the medina kitchen, and the Atlas Mountains thirty minutes from the city gates. No itinerary overloaded with monuments. Four days of the things that actually restore you: a full hammam ritual, a morning in a Berber village above the Ourika Valley, a stop at a women-run argan cooperative, and a cooking class where you learn to make the food you have been eating all week. Entirely private and paced around you.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Marrakech — Riad Welcome & Evening Hammam
Your driver meets you at Marrakech Menara Airport and transfers you to your riad in the medina — a traditional courtyard house with a central fountain and rooms arranged around a tiled garden. After settling in, an early evening walk through Jemaa el-Fna: the great square comes alive at dusk with food stalls, musicians, and storytellers in what is genuinely one of the most extraordinary free spectacles in the world. Your private hammam session that evening follows the full traditional sequence: black beldi soap, kessa exfoliation, rhassoul clay from the Atlas, argan oil massage. You sleep deeply.
Day 2
Marrakech Medina — Majorelle Garden, Cooking Class & Souks
Begin at the Majorelle Garden early — the cobalt-blue studios and botanical garden created by French painter Jacques Majorelle and later acquired by Yves Saint Laurent are best experienced before ten in the morning when the light is low and the paths are quiet. Then into the medina for the cooking class: your guide takes you through the covered spice souk first, selecting saffron, preserved lemons, ras el hanout, and fresh coriander from the vendors. Back in the riad kitchen, you prepare a traditional Marrakech meal — a slow-cooked lamb tagine with prunes and almonds, fresh Moroccan salads, and bastilla pastry. You eat at the courtyard table in the midday shade. The afternoon is free for the souks: leather, textiles, silverwork, ceramics.
Day 3
Atlas Mountains — Ourika Valley, Berber Village & Argan Cooperative
Drive thirty minutes south of Marrakech into the High Atlas foothills, where the air cools immediately and the landscape shifts from city dust to cedar and terraced barley. The Ourika Valley follows a river into increasingly steep mountain terrain — the road passes Berber villages of painted earthen houses, women carrying loads of wild thyme on their backs, and children playing in the shallow river. Visit a Berber village above the valley floor and share mint tea with a local family in their home. On the return, stop at a women-run argan oil cooperative where you watch the full cold-press process: cracking the hard outer shells by hand, grinding the kernels with a traditional stone mill, separating the oil by hand-kneading. The women here have run this cooperative for over a decade; buying directly from them means the income stays entirely in the community.
Day 4
Free Morning & Departure
A free final morning — revisit the Majorelle Garden, browse the souks at your own pace, or sit in the riad courtyard with a final coffee. Private transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport. End of retreat.
